Basketball Scotland is pleased to share that a significant new investment opportunity for clubs is now live.
The Club Support Programme (CSP), delivered by sportscotland through additional Scottish Government investment, is designed to strengthen clubs and community organisations across the country - supporting them to become more sustainable, inclusive, and impactful within their communities.
The programme provides funding to support the creation of new paid roles within clubs, helping to build capacity in key areas such as coaching, development, governance and administration.
This represents a major opportunity for affiliated basketball clubs to invest in their future - supporting growth, improving structures, and creating more opportunities for people across Scotland to engage with the game.
All affiliated clubs have now received full guidance, templates, and support information directly from Basketball Scotland, alongside an invitation to submit an ‘Expression of Interest’ to help us manage demand and support.
The application window will open on 1 May, with submissions due by 22 May 2026.
David Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of Basketball Scotland, said:
“This is a hugely exciting opportunity for basketball in Scotland.
Our clubs are the heartbeat of the game - powered by incredible volunteers, passion, and commitment — and this investment gives us a real chance to build on that foundation.
By supporting the creation of paid roles within clubs, we can strengthen structures, grow participation, and ensure our clubs are more sustainable and inclusive for the long term.
We’re committed to working closely with our clubs over the coming weeks to help them make the most of this opportunity and to put forward the strongest possible case for basketball across Scotland.”
Clubs interested in applying are encouraged to engage with Basketball Scotland and submit an initial Expression of Interest.
