basketballscotland’s U15 Men’s and Women’s National Teams have concluded their campaigns at the 2025 Home Nations Invitational, held this weekend in Manchester, England.

The tournament brought together the best young talent from across the UK and Ireland, providing an opportunity for development, challenge and international experience. Over the course of three days, both Scotland squads demonstrated teamwork, commitment and determination - from the opening tip to the final buzzer.

Strong Start Against Wales

The Women’s team set the tone early with an impressive all-round display. Sham Al Zoubi led the way on the boards, securing 11 rebounds, while the team executed well on both ends to build a commanding lead and maintain control throughout. 97-39

On the Men’s side, it was a full team effort, with every player contributing on the scoresheet. The squad’s defensive energy and ball movement made the difference in a strong start to the weekend and secured a decisive victory. 92-48

Battling England

Saturday evening saw both teams face a strong England side. Despite challenging scorelines, the squads approached the games with energy and determination. The Women’s team battled well in transition and created quality scoring opportunities throughout. Grace Alexander finished as the team’s top scorer with 15 points, while the squad’s defensive rotations and rebounding effort stood out across four quarters. 45-98

In the Men’s game, Scotland’s bench made a huge impact, contributing 30 of the team’s 48 points, showcasing the depth and energy within the squad. The starters and substitutes combined to keep the game competitive against a strong England side. 48-85

Closing Out Against Ireland

Scotland finished the weekend on Sunday with fixtures against Ireland. The Women’s team showed their grit and ability to regroup, finding rhythm in the second half and pushing to close the gap. Timi Alasi was a force on the boards with 10 rebounds, helping to create second-chance opportunities and defensive stops. 55-72

The Men’s team closed out their campaign with a strong effort, highlighted by Tyler Clarke’s 18-point performance and a huge effort from, Darko Agyapong, who dominated the glass with a massive 21 rebounds. A highlight moment came from Jan Adamski, who delivered a demanding block, energising the team. The group showed commitment through all four quarters and capped off the weekend with pride. 80-96
