The stage is set for an exciting two days of school basketball as the Scottish Schools Cup Finals return this week, bringing some of the country’s top young talent together at Easterhouse Sports Centre.
Taking place on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th March, this year’s finals will showcase six matchups across multiple age groups, with schools from across Scotland competing for national titles.
Wednesday’s action sees a double-header between James Gillespie's High School and Culloden Academy, as they go head-to-head in both the U15 Girls (12:15) and Open Girls (14:00) finals.
Thursday promises a packed schedule, beginning with the Open Boys final as St Andrew's Academy face St Paul's High School at 10:00. James Gillespie's High School return to the court throughout the day, featuring in three further finals. They take on Inverness Royal Academy in the S1 Boys final (11:45), before meeting Millburn Academy in both the S1 Girls (13:15) and U15 Boys (14:45) finals.
With a number of schools appearing across multiple finals, the competition promises a strong showcase of talent, as each team looks to deliver their best performance on the national stage.
Spectators are encouraged to come along and be part of the atmosphere, with free entry available across both days. Fans who cannot attend will still be able to catch the best moments, with photography from the finals set to be shared on the basketballscotland Facebook page following the event.
With pride, school bragging rights, and national titles on the line, the Scottish Schools Cup Finals promise two days of high-energy competition and memorable moments.
